It is the policy of Hardin ISD that students who utilize HISD buses will ONLY be transported to their primary address in Ascender.  The only exception to this is to facilitate a court order.  Emergency situations will be considered on a case by case basis and must be approved by both HISD Transportation and the Campus Administration in consultation with the Central Office.  Thank you for your cooperation and help in accomplishing this.

For AM changes: The request must be submitted by 4 PM one day prior to the change. Any request received after 4 PM on the previous day will not be accepted.

For PM changes: The request must be submitted before 2 PM on the day of the change. Any request received after 2 PM on the day of the change will not be accepted.

Hardin ISD – Bus Rider Expectations

Student safety is the primary objective of Hardin ISD Transportation. To help ensure a safe and orderly environment, all students are expected to follow these expectations while riding district transportation.

1. Obey the Driver and/or Monitor at all times.
2. Sit in your assigned seat and remain seated, facing forward, with your back against the seat and your feet on the floor.
3. Keep your hands, feet, and all objects to yourself.
4. No yelling, screaming, or excessive noise.
5. No eating, drinking, or chewing gum on the bus, except for water in a clear bottle with a lid.
6. Do not wear hats, blankets, or anything that covers your head or face.
7. No fighting, horseplay, or rough behavior.
8. Use respectful language at all times. Profanity, vulgar language, and rude gestures are prohibited.
9. Cell phones and electronic devices may be used quietly. Sound must be off or used with headphones. Photography, video recording, and audio recording are prohibited.
10. Keep your head, hands, feet, and all objects inside the bus at all times.
11. Do not throw any object inside or outside the bus.
12. Help keep the bus clean. Take your trash with you or dispose of it properly.
13. Do not damage, tamper with, or vandalize any bus or vehicle property.
14. Unauthorized items are prohibited, including tobacco products, vapes, alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, animals, and blankets.
15. All school rules and the Student Code of Conduct apply while riding district transportation.

Failure to follow these expectations may result in disciplinary action, including the loss of bus riding privileges.
