Elementary Library

At the HES Library, we are so excited for a new school year, new reading adventures, and for books to make impacts in our lives.

Important information:

1. Reading Logs-
Every student at HES is encouraged to read at home and to complete their Reading Logs to "Level Up" their Super Mario Character.  Reading Logs can be turned into the library or homeroom teachers and prizes will be given for every one turned in.  Also there will be two parties this year for completed Reading Logs: December and May.

2. Book Taco-
Grades 1-5 are participating in Book Taco, a reading program the district has adopted.  Students are able to access Book Taco at school and at home to take quizzes on books they are reading to earn points.  There will be multiple parties/prizes this year for students who receive a certain amount of points.  October- treat bags, January- hot cocoa and a cookie, March- popcorn and a drink, May- nachos
