Welcome Coach Barrier! New Head Football Coach of Hardin ISD
Coach Barrier attended High School at Robinson High School where he graduated in 1993. He later graduated from Texas A and M University in 1997 where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in history. He began his coaching career soon after in Hull Daisetta where he met and married his wife, Dana. He later received a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from UTA. Over the years, Coach Barrier has served in many communities including Hull Daisetta, Jacksonville, Jasper, Brazos, Conroe, and now Hardin. He has 2 children: Macey 18 years old and Brady 13 years old. Serving youth and helping young athletes develop role model character where they reach their full athletic potential has been his life’s mission. Coach Barrier has received many awards including the honor of being named Houston Texans Coach of the Week in October 2018 and Fort Bend Herald’s 2018 Coach of the Year. He is very excited to put on the blue and gold and help lead the Hardin Hornets this football season!
