Mr. Chris Goodwin
Mr. Chris Goodwin was born in Orange, Texas and raised in Pasadena, Texas. After graduating from South Houton High School in 1984, he joined the US Navy. He proudly served for just under 6 years on the USS Philadelphia (SSN 690). After leaving the Navy, he joined the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Mr. Goodwin would work in the Prison System on various units attaining the rank of Lieutenant. He decided to take early retirement after 15 years in 2004. During his time working the prison system, Mr. Goodwin earned a BA in History from University of Houston - Clear Lake. He started his third carreer as a History Teacher, working for Cleveland ISD for 5 years and then coming to Hardin in 2012. During his time teaching, Mr. Goodwin continued his education and earned a Master in Education from Lamar University in 2011. Mr. Goodwin currently teaches Principles of Government, Political Science I & II, Psychology, Sociology, and Money Matters. In his personal time, Mr. Goodwin is an avid reader of science fiction, a gamer (MTG & Xbox RULE!!) a husband, a father, a Sunday School teacher, a Deacon at Hardin Baptist Church, and a member of Hardin City Council.
