I am the 8th grade English teacher. This is my 25th year at Hardin, 26th year total.

This year, per the new ELAR curriculum at Hardin, students will read a text a day, learn vocabulary from that text, and practice vocabulary, comprehension, and inferencing skills. Tests will be given over learned skills every two weeks.  

If your child is absent, it is his/her responsibility to obtain their make up work, and if they make below a 70, they are encouraged to do corrections, either before school or during NEST time, for a correction grade of no higher than a 70.
