Over the last year, the Hardin ISD Facilities Committee has been meeting to look at current facilities and needs. 

Just as homes need upgrades, improvements, additions or often replacements, schools need the same improvements, and already stretched operating budgets do not allow funding of these types of projects. Most school districts in Texas use bonds instead of the operating budget to finance school facilities. Using a bond allows the district to spread the cost of the facilities over their useful life (similar to a home mortgage) and allows future residents to assist in payment for the facilities. 

The $16.8 million bond includes a new Elementary Campus located on Hwy 146 in Hardin, a new Agricultural and Career Building located at the High School Campus, and other renovations as funds allow to address technology and space needs for other departments/campuses.

Early voting will be conducted each weekday from April 28, 2014 through May 6, 2014 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Hardin Administration Office.

Hardin ISD taxpayers 65 years of age and older who have applied for and received their age 65 Freeze will not pay an amount of school taxes above their frozen level even with a successful bond election

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) approves and monitors our district and attendance each year. As required, Hardin ISD will make-up instructional days missed because of bad weather on January 24, 28, and 29, 2014. Please view the attached documents for information about what days will be used for make-up.



Hardin ISD has filed the E-Rate Form 470.
